Planet smart inked partnership with uk’s top sustainable materials R&D Institution

We have officially partnered with Brunel University!

The Wolfson Centre for Sustainable Materials Development and Processing specializes in research and development of new materials, including biopolymers. It is currently being led by chemical engineer Dr. George Fern, who is also the Academic Director of the Experimental Techniques Centre.

We toured their facilities, which were equipped with modern instruments that can support from R&D lab scale up to industrial processing of polymers, including polymer mixing, extrusion and moulding technologies. Their specialized equipment are located in their purpose-built processing hall.

Our partnership also gives us access to their chemistry post-docs who have the experience and know-how in the field. We are excited to start working with them as our research partner and help us in our journey from reproducing prototypes to scaling up our technology.
